Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” pulled in more than $140 million this Memorial Day weekend, breaking the box office record for the four-day holiday period.
With heavy competition, “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” opened in a crowded market along recent releases “Shrek the Third” and “Spider-Man 3,” which each had major opening weekends.
