Beauty Keira Knightley has branded her fellow actresses neurotic.

Keira, 22, said: “It’s not a profession for a sane person. It has huge highs and lows.

“You meet any actress, they’re all neurotic. It’s the only way it works. I mean they’re mad!”

Atonement star Keira admitted she is just as bad - and gets depressed when filming ends.

But she said Hollywood’s obsession with youth made its leading ladies even more barmy. She said: “Women get incredibly self-conscious.

“As much as I can say, ‘Isn’t it great to have lines’, when you get older you realise how close the camera is and the magic goes.”
